If you haven’t had a chance to see it yet, Three in a Bed, the Channel 4 programme featuring a Northumberland B&B, can be viewed online.
The B&B in question, Roxbro House in Warkworth, won the episode in which they competed against The Lodge, Avebury, and Hamilton Hall, Bournemouth.
Claire and Stuart of Roxbro House won mainly because of their attention to detail, friendly and warm welcome, and the breathtaking scenery in Northumberland.
Claire and Stuart go up against Andrew Blackall, owner of The Lodge in Avebury, and John Bellamy from Hamilton Hall in Bournemouth. There’s some tension between Andrew and John, which makes it an entertaining episode.
But the programme also provides insight into just what it takes to run an award-winning B&B in this competitive and value-driven age.
